About The Vehicle Restoration Co

About us & History.

Classic car specialist since 1986, The Vehicle Restoration Co specializes in Triumph Stag repairs, including Triumph Stag Hardtops, as well as British classic cars and motorbikes from 1945 to 1980.  

  

Founded in February 1986 in Middleton On Sea, West Sussex, The Vehicle Restoration Co is led by Tim Collins, who began restoring classic cars and motorbikes with his family at the age of 14. Before establishing the business, Tim served his apprenticeship and gained experience restoring classic cars in the UK and overseas, including Canada and the USA. His extensive portfolio includes prestigious brands like Triumph, Rover, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin, and Jaguar. Tim Collins remains actively involved in the company today.  

  

We pride ourselves on being the only company known to possess a purpose-built Triumph Stag Hardtop jig, allowing us to restore Triumph Stag Hardtops to 'as new' condition and export them both in the UK and worldwide.  

  

We want our visitors to understand our background and take pride in our 40 years of service in the classic car industry.

Triumph Stag Hardtop restoration to as new condition.

In 2008, as a leading Classic Car Specialist, we at The Vehicle Restoration Co designed and built a restoration jig specifically for Triumph Stag Hardtops. Over the past 18 years, we have proudly completed Triumph Stag repairs and sent restored hardtops throughout the UK and to many satisfied overseas customers. Triumph Stag Hardtop Restoration.

The Jig was expertly designed by The Vehicle Restoration Co to ensure that the Triumph Stag Hardtop mounts securely to all factory mounting points. This innovative design allows us to rotate the Hardtop 360 degrees during the restoration process, ensuring the correct shape and alignment throughout. We begin our work with a bead blasted bare metal Triumph Stag Hardtop shell and meticulously rebuild from the ground up. Our process includes rust proofing upgrades, guaranteeing durability. As a Classic Car Specialist, we can provide an 'as new' Triumph Stag Hardtop, colour matched to your car's specifications.

We offer delivery and collection services from anywhere in the UK. Overseas delivery is also possible—please ask.
